The EU Cloud CoC & SCOPE Europe at the IAPP Global Privacy Summit 2022

SCOPE EuropeEU Cloud CoCNews

The EU Cloud CoC community is greatly looking forward to joining our privacy colleagues at this major event in April 2022.

It is great to wrap-up this year with some more exciting news: On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the EU Cloud CoC will be making its way to Washington DC to take part in the IAPP Global Privacy Summit.

In the Breakout Session entitled “Codes of Conduct: Revamping the Global Privacy Environment”, SCOPE Europe’s Managing Director, Jörn Wittmann, alongside Kate Charlet (Google), Barbara Cosgrove (Workday), and Mark Webber (FieldFisher) will be discussing the unique potential of this instrument to harmonize privacy practices and create a coherent and trustworthy regulatory environment.

Besides discussing the journey that led to the approval of the first transnational code of conduct under the GDPR, the panel will tackle several key issues concerning the international cloud community, including the challenges and potential solutions to help users and providers efficiently navigate the post-Schrems II landscape.

SCOPE Europe and the EU Cloud CoC General Assembly strongly believe in the importance of such exchanges and, therefore, are thrilled to contribute to an active dialogue in order to continuously improve co-regulatory practices internationally.
