The EU Cloud Code of Conduct General Assembly and SCOPE Europe invite you to the EU Cloud Compliance Summit on 20 May, to celebrate the progress made towards trust and compliance assurance for European cloud users and the whole cloud computing industry.
The Summit will be an opportunity to take stock of the years of collaboration between the European Commission, data protection authorities and the cloud computing community.
Taking place over a full day, the event will be split into a General Session (09:15 – 13:00) and afternoon workshops (13:00 – 16:00).
The morning's General Session will be opened by Agnieszka Bruyere, Vice-President, IBM Cloud, IBM EMEA, and followed by keynote speeches from Former Vice President of the European Commission Neelie Kroes, Belgian Secretary of State for Digitisation Mathieu Michel, David Stevens, Chairman of the Belgian Data Protection Authority, and Pearse O'Donohue, Director for the Future Networks Directorate, DG CONNECT, European Commission.
Following the video statements from the members of the EU Cloud Code of Conduct, Samuel Stolton, specialist European technology journalist, will moderate two insightful panels with senior experts from the cloud computing community. The afternoon workshops will then bring together experts to discuss issues relevant to the cloud industry, and will include substantial audience Q&A sessions.
