The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides a new mechanism on how to prove compliance: Codes of Conduct. As a flexible and credible but at the same time reasonbly priced tool Codes of Conduct become popular these days. A promiment example is the European Data Protection Code of Conduct for Cloud Service Providers (EU Cloud CoC).
