Brussels, May, 23rd, 2018. Cloud providers in the EU Cloud Code of Conduct (EU Cloud CoC) General Assembly reached an important milestone in releasing the revised Code under the GDPR.
Having published the first version of the Code of Conduct a year ago, the EU Cloud CoC General Assembly today published a new version that is aligned to the GDPR, which comes into force on May 25. The revised Code will be submitted to the competent Data Protection Authority and the European Data Protection Board for consideration as a Code of Conduct under the GDPR.
The EU Cloud CoC General Assembly is also completing work on an implementation guide, called the Controls Catalogue, which is the Code roadmap, aligning its articles to the GDPR and to international security standards such as ISO 27001 and 27018.
Growing Membership:
The EU Cloud Code of Conduct community is growing – alongside many of the leading cloud providers, innovative SAAS providers are also joining to demonstrate their commitment to the new high standards of data privacy and security under the GDPR.
