Joe Alhadeff very sadly passed away peacefully on 27 May 2017. We all lost a devoted friend, brilliant mind, irreprehensible humor, and a knowledge bank that is irreplaceable. The data privacy and cloud worlds will never be the same without him. He was instrumental in developing our EU CoC community and was the key driver in designing the EU Cloud Code of Conduct since its inception in December 2012.
Joe's stamina and good humour were only matched by his intelligence and engagement around the world. Throughout the years Joe had become a friend and an amazing mentor and advisor to so many of us. We all learned so much from him and he will be missed dearly.
